40 gallon Barrel Water Butt – working hand pump

Our 40 gallon/180 litre oak whisky barrel water butt is fitted with an authentic fully working old fashioned cast iron village pump adds a touch of old world charm and also character to your home.  A great eco friendly way to collect rainwater, three to four pumps of the handle and you have a watering can full of water.

The barrel itself measures 90cm high x 63cm wide in the belly narrowing down to 55cm at the base.  All barrels are water tested prior to dispatch, the metal bands are rubbed down, nailed and painted black which further enhances the natural grain of the wood.  A hole is drilled for both the hand pump and drainpipe (a 90mm circular hole for the drainpipe allows any standard drainpipe to fit inside it).
